This story continues to get better. It’s hard to believe considering how good it already was. Do yourself a favor and start with Amazon Apocalypse and read this series. Compelling characters, amazing story, excellent world building, great pacing, and progression through the whole series. The only bad part… I have to wait for the next one to be released.

Carter needs to change his name to undercover and he needs to take his shardlord and level status and throw it in the trash.
I made it 60% in before I had to call it quits.
He’s a powerhouse that does nothing with it. He’s a shardlord who has “plans” that constantly consist of going under cover, hiding his power and trying to be a peaceful plebian.
Its beyond tiring, it’s beyond boring and frankly I am so disappointed in this book that I won’t be finishing it and I will be stopping the series entirely.
This comes from someone who has all Kindle copies and get the audible versions on release.
