Bought as a birthday gift. It’s a gorgeous book with some beautiful illustrations.

The first showed up with a little damage to the spine. A replacement was sorted very efficiently and arrived prompted with no damage whatsoever ever. It’s exactly what you expect from an art book with bright vivid concept art and the narrative of the book tells the thought processes of the people involved really well.

Buy it… Just buy it… The paintings, sketches and concept art are beautiful, exceptional art from an exceptional studio.
At £12 its a steal, if your a lover of art an art student or an artist these Ghibli studio books should be on your shelves somewhere.
One thing I would add to the previous reviews which bares mention is how ‘clean’ and organized the books layout feels, they remind me of 1970s hardback books as there is a weight and a quality to the books, the printing to deserves note also as the pages are thick and more pearl bordering on matt than glossy.
I was expecting something much less expansive too, art books normally feel a little thin but not these ones 176 pages feels closer to 300…
Think I will have to buy all of them….

it came like new and the quality of this book is superb! It was high-quality paper and the picture on the book has a bright colour, it wasn’t washed out.

A very large and extremely high quality book. The print quality cannot be better and the content is what is supposed to be: a bunch of background art, sketches in pencil and watercolor and final cel art. The book finishes off with interviews with the crew with insight of the creation of the movie. A lovely purchase for sure.

My son love it.

We purchased after watching the Totoro theatre play in London. Beautiful images and art work. The paper is thick and the hard back is good quality.
Buying off Amazon was cheaper than buying at the venue. Not much more to say. Buy the book, read it, enjoy the contents!
