In between placing my order and it being dispatched I realised I had ordered the wrong book – I actually wanted the companion volume that deals with the Underground. However I decided not to cancel and I’m glad. This is a lovely book with 100 double-page spreads illustrating iconic designs seen across the London Transport network, from Canary Wharf Crossrail Station to the winding handle that opens the windows on a Routemaster bus, all beautifully photographed.
If you’ve ever travelled on a London bus or Tube train, or if you’re an enthusiast of public transport, or even just product design in general, you’ll like this book.
