Great recepies, you know when you see Good Food its a quality book

…almost a quarter of the recipes are salads involving tossing various vegetables in leaves, so it loses a star.
Apart from that has some tasty recipes each of which is accompanied by a picture so you know what it’s supposed to end up like.
Well worth the price, especially if you like salad!

Being a committed carnivore there are a distinct lack of Veggie cook books on my shelves or veg-only recipes in my repertoire. However, with a sister and her family being vegetarian, and with the high prices of decent quality meat, having a veggie string to my cooking bow is nothing to be sniffed at. I picked this little book up as it’s a BBC Good Food item and has a good range of interesting recipes. I’ve now tried some and all have worked out well, with me not really missing the meat! Favourite so far is the Sri Lankan Runner Bean curry which adapted well to my abundance of French Beans from the garden. Compact but clear, for the money you can’t really go wrong 🙂

I have dabbled with some of the recipes in this book and have created some lovely dishes. I would recommend, especially if you’re creative knowledge as a foodie is in great.

Great little book with clear layout. Ideal for a vegetarian or someone who wants to try vegetarian food. Very reasonable price.

I have just received my copy and it looks as if there are some nice recipes in it. However, the reason for my 3 star review is that there’s an issue with the book’s cutting and binding. One of the pages obviously got caught up and it’s been cut to size and bound with the the recipe folded over and the edge of the page firmly caught in the binding, meaning the recipe is hidden. I’ve also gained part of an extra page elsewhere in the book!

Appreciate this is a cheap little book but upon reviewing the range of recipes there is a high proportion of them which seem to be variations of a salad, omlette or something on toast. Will make a handy reference book for fixing a quick lunch or very low key dinner when I’m stuck for ideas, but I have found the range of recipes extremely disappointing and offering no particular new information unfortunately.

Bought this for my newest venture into a vegetarian diet. I’ve always loved BBC Good Food recipes using the app and knew this would be an instant hit with me. The book is smaller than usual recipes books but is jam-packed with a ton of images and delicious-sounding recipes. I love this bonus of the calorie intake and dietary information at the bottom of each recipe – great for those who are calorie counting. Can’t recommend this enough!
