It’s can be cheap but I tried many different practice books and can say it’s too thick and the squares are very large, which makes it very uncomfortable to use. Markup is not suitable for beginners, so if you are just starting out Chinese writing, do not buy this notebook. I can recommend buying thin and not so big notebooks, which will have more detailed markings and will not have fields for pinyin, since you will hardly need it.
