Four and half stars We start this great book when Ruby arrives in the gorgeous island of Corfu where the weather is hot and she has the chance of a fresh start. She is going to work for her aunt hazel and the taverna and learn the trade. Ruby is determined not to fall for Yianni who is her sexy colleague.
So I absolutely loved this book both for the gorgeous location which took me back twenty years when I last visited Corfu as well as characters that I fell in love with. Ruby has had a rough time in her past and we go back in time to find out the past she has ran away from and the secrets she is hiding. For me I really felt for her and longed for her to open up and heal her wounds and it was great to see the chinks of happiness come through. Yianni is a great make lead who has that strong sultry vibe making you know he is a good guy. There are other sub characters you couldn’t help but love from the barman Nico to rubys lovely aunt hazel. This is the perfect book for lovers of Romance, great summer vibes and the chances of new starts..

Set on the idyllic island of Corfu, Ruby arrives to work in her Aunt Hazel’s restaurant. She is looking for a fresh start after a very difficult few years in the UK. She has clear goals and wants to put herself first for once, that is until she meets Hazel’s step son Yianni.
With lemon, cypress and olive trees, azure blue water and delicious cocktails this book transported me to the warmth and beauty of Corfu. I liked the balance of the lighter and darker themes running throughout the storyline, overall making this an enjoyable summer read. I am left wanting to book a trip to San Stefanos!

Everything you hope for in a book. Great descriptions, a romantic love story and of course the unexpected twists. A must read for anyone who loves the Greek islands and wants to be transported there by a story full of surprises. As the story moves forward you soon find yourself caring not only about Ruby’s future but worrying about her past. The twist I really wasn’t expecting and I just couldn’t put the book down. I loved the whole family with such rounded characters it was delightful. A wonderful book to transport us to the Greek sunshine and so much more. Thoroughly recommend this book.
