Not quite, shall we say, babyish enough for my five year old, as expected, but perhaps in time she’ll understand it. I was hoping for more colour. It’s also rather Americanised.

Ministeps to Music Phase 1 is an excellent beginner piano tutor. New concepts are introduced systematically. But please change the pictures! They are so infantile…. Modernize this excellent resource please! Then older beginners will also be able to use it.

This shows beginners how to play two notes at once with delightful short pieces and charming pictures. It is well constructed and gradual and deserves its place among the best teaching materials. A bigger size of print would be even better.

Recommended by my son’s music teacher and as I am piano illiterate I have followed it so I can help him. For the first time ever I can read music!
