This is a comprehensive guide to renal medicines just as the titles started, it is comprehensive and full of information needed for medical students.
You will surely need this books over and over as its full of information.
by E. L. Wisty
This book is intended to fill a gap in nephrology between medical student lectures and more detailed and comprehensive specialist works, balancing the depth of a full textbook with the convenience of a handbook. In particular it was designed around the Australian system (almost all contributors to this book are Australian or Indian) and specific exams there, but that probably doesn’t detract in any way from its use more generally.
The 20 chapters, mostly covering various diseases and their management and treatment, with the final three on dialysis and transplantation, are well presented and each comes with a number of multiple choice questions to test understanding.

This book manages to cram a lot of useful information into its 300+ pages. It is well-written and clearly laid out with useful diagrams and illustrations. Each chapter ends with a question and answer section so you can test your knowledge. As with all academic books it is relatively expensive, but I do think this is a book you will refer to in the future.

Very informative and love that this has loads of illustrations and diagrams which is very helpful. The paper quality is good, thick and durable. Highly Recommend.

Very useful and informative; it’s impossible to fit everything on this subject into a single volume, but this has a very good go.

This is a well written soft backed book that uses a good easy to read type face. Being a Wiley branded book as would expect everything a Renal student or practitioner would need is included here. Very much an excellent mix of study textbook and handbook for those working in Renal medicine to dip into as they need. Nephrology is a great introduction to the principles of nephrology. Perfect study guide for medical trainees.
Plus those with a general interest and the professional. Areas of study include here
clinical implications of renal physiology,
major renal disorders and diseases, the following on
the management and treatment options.
Perfect size as well to pop in bag or on shelf.

This book from the very well respected publisher Wiley is everything you’d expect. It’s comprehensive, well structured and extremely well written. Ideal for the medical professional or student, but easy to digest by anyone with a fairly broad understanding medical language. It works well as a dip in and out reference, as well as being suitable for reading through. I’m not sure the information therein is enough to skip on taking more detailed notes in lectures, but certainly as a revision aid, or refresher I’m sure it will be beyond useful for anyone studying medicine or going on to specialise in renal medicine.
