this is surprisingly good, my little 3yo hasn’t much been interested in tracing letters or numbers before. but after seeing her big sister have a try at this, she was very keen to trace every line right away. and considering the quality of her other recent drawings, she did really well at this. the pen provided isn’t much to speak of sadly. but luckily we have loads of dry wipe pens around to make do instead. obviously this book is a plastic coated dry wipe book, so can be used over and over again, so keep it for the other kids too or donate when finished with

I can’t tell you how much my 5 year old grandson likes these type of books. He never sits still, yet this will hold his attention for quite some time. I think 4 or 5 is about the right age for a child to find it easy enough to trace the letters.
It wants you to follow letters and shapes. There are red dots and arrows throughout the book on the traceable letters to show you where to start writing.
There are beautiful illustrations and descriptions to engage with the learning process.
I love that the book comes with a special ink pen and is wipe clean so that your child can practice over and over again. This will also be useful if you have a second child that you can pass the book onto.
This is a great learning tool and an absolute bargain at £3.49 and it would have got 5 stars if only the pen had had an eraser on the lid for convenience. I used a dry piece of kitchen roll to erase the ink and it wiped it away very easily.

A good wipe-clean activity book that introduces pen control. Will say I think it’s more aimed 4* as my 3 year old got distracted by all the other info on the pages but otherwise, great home practice book we can spend a few minutes doing as he learns pen control.

This is a great book to help little ones build confidence with their own control.
I would say some younger children may struggle with all the activities, but as it’s wipe clean, if they get distracted drawing a dinosaur or colouring in… you can also give them a piece of tissue to wipe up and try again!
Using this at weekends for some parent and pre schooler time together for a few mins and then letting them just go wild and play. Good fun.
