The songs are progressively more challenging as you work through the book. The print is a little small for me, but that’s because of my eyesight. Straightforward layout.

An absolute would need more basic information but a returning senior it’s fine

Bought as a means of expanding my tune repertoire using the basic a to g notes from middle c and the bass clef notes on the same scale – sadly this is not a book for beginners to do this, tunes are complex and require strong piano learning foundations such as sharp notes and key changes to be in place.

It’s what I need to learn some easy piano pieces which I’ve dropped learning like ten years ago,

Been working with this book for 16 months now and almost completed it. Some great tunes leading you from very easy to more challenging, so if you want to teach yourself then I can’t recommend it enough. A knowledge of fingering and reading music is required from the start however.

I bought this book when I had only been learning to play for a short time, so it has taken me a while to review. Lots of the pieces are easy to play and I am still working on some of the more complicated pieces, but they are very accessible. I have only just downloaded the audio files, so am sure that these will help.

Recently decided to learn piano again having learned to about grade 3 as a child. This book is proving ideal; it’s progressive and has got some lovely recognisable tunes which are fun to play. The audio files that you can download are extremely useful for timing. Really pleased I bought it as it’s a good starting point after 50 years of not playing.
