This is the rollercoaster story of how Ronaldo grew up to become a superstar striker for Brazil, Barcelona and Real Madrid. Struck down by illness on the day of the 1998 World Cup final, he showed world-class skill and determination to come back four years later and single-handedly destroy Germany in the 2002 final to prove, once and for all, that he was one of the greatest strikers ever.

Our son enjoyed reading this and is a good gift to go with something else.

My son loves all these books, even the players he doesn’t necessary like as they play for his rival team. He has read over twenty or more and he has continuously read his favourite players books which is amazing as he doesn’t like reading. The writing is age appropriate. He has enjoyed learning about their football journey from childhood to where they are now. He would like books on players from the 70s and 80s as he would like to know about the players in this era.

My grandson couldn’t wait to read it!

My little boy (well not so little any more he’s 9) loves these books. If your child isn’t an avid reader however they are interested in football then these books may be what you need. This book was read in three sittings over one weekend and thoroughly enjoyed. My child doesn’t love reading. When he has a book he is interested in though he can’t put the book down. Highly recommend.
