It’s a new school term and Eoin Madden has new responsibilities. He’s now captain of the Under 14s team and has to deal with friction between his friend Rory and new boy Dylan as they thrash it out for a place as scrum-half.
And away from the pitch Eoin has his hands full. He starts work on a project about Irish-born All Black Dave Gallaher who died in World War I. Then history becomes reality when an old book brings Eoin a lot closer to the rugby legend than he ever thought possible …
Fast-paced action, mysterious spirits and feuding friends – it’s a season to remember!

Another great read from Gerard Siggins. My 9 yr old loves these books for the rugby, the history and the mystery.
He’s just finished this, the third in the series, and really hopes there will be another soon.

A great series – there seem to have been loads of boys books when I grew up but now its just wizards and vampires. This is old school, well written, engaging and fast paced. The problem with my boys was getting them to start, once they did, they devoured them, was happy I bought the set ….
Kids literature is very poorly served and needs more quality reads like this ….

Great book and perfect for kids who like rugby. It’s a must read. If a had to pick my favourite book it would be this amazing book.

Yet another brilliant book. It’s so good to have stories about Rugby rather than football. I was gripped to the last page.
