As a classical guitarist I found this book o.k to get me into the electric world, songs a bit dated but as an introduction I found it ok

Firstly this is an essential resource for the current exam format so it’s well worth it. The book quality is very nice.
However, the printed book is a bit wasteful (I haven’t bought a sheet music/tab book in 18 years!). Not sure why this content can’t be downloaded (even for a fee) from the website. The CD is also a bit inconvenient (my new laptop doesn’t have a drive as standard as with most laptops nowadays).
There‘s not much in the book other than examples (hardly any guidance – most of that is free online). It’s a shame the improvisation tracks are just backing tracks. It would have been nice to have a demo of what would be considered a good improvisation over the chords. I know the whole idea of improv is that there isn’t just one answer but given this is a learning resource it is sometimes helpful to know what’s a good example.
