I have yet to use this book, but am very pleased with my purchase.

It’s a good selection of songs but my niggle is how larger print it is, it feel oversized and every song goes over a double page: and therefore it isn’t at all practical.

Good selection of songs with strum patterns and picking patterns good value

I bought this based on the reviews stating it was great for beginners, those completely new to the guitar, sorry but this just cannot be the case or I am am embryo…. I know know some chords and feel quite competent shifting between notes and various chords, however unless you can read guitar music you don’t stand a chance with this book, its like trying to read hyroglifics. If you can already read music then maybe it’s great for you, but shouldn’t be sold as a complete beginners book, there is no explanation in the book of what all the music symbols mean, i.e # sharp, half notes, whole notes quarter notes, little black oblongs sitting on or below a line of music, or how to apply the knowledge once you’ve googled it all….
The book itself is lovely but it’s not for a complete novice that is starting to play guitar but doesn’t yet know how to read, understand or apply the content of the book.
Hopefully on my journey I’ll understand what all the squiggles mean, for now I’ll just keep on strumming

I ordered this book for a teenage Nephew! Ive been told by his father that he liked it very much and the choice of songs were good:)

Good book with suggested finger patterns where required. Good cross section of songs.
An explanation of Coda and how to use would be very helpful.

Bought this for a 16yr old for Christmas…..showed it to my stepson who in his 30’s and plays guitar and he thought it looked really good too.
