Bought for my Grandson, and he loves it …. but so does his mother …. and his father! So the poor lad has to seek it out to read it. LOL.
I had a wee look through it before I gave it to him, and found it fascinating. It’s a really valuable book to a child, but, like you’ve seen in my comment above, it’s also a lovely read for adults too.
I recommend this book.

A really brilliant book. I have no qualms recommending it.
It’s really big and very colourful. As you go from the beginning of time through to the invention of the internet you don’t find yourself bogged down with information but what you do find out in the short snippets is fascinating. Who knew (not me anyway) that there was no life on Earth for 30 million years before the dinosaurs came along. Not that there was no life before them but it had been wiped out. And dinosaurs strode the Earth for hundreds of millions of years, we’ve just done it for hundreds of thousands.
Each timeline covers two colourful pages and you can dip into any part that takes your fancy; Egyptians, Pirates, Empires, Explorers.
This is a real family book.

We use it as a constant reference to locate a character or an event on the timeline and relate it with facts that happened before and after and other famous personalities that could have been alive then.
Easy to use and enjoy for school homework or just curiosity.

This book is one of the best books I think that I have ever purchased.
There has clearly been a lot of research and planning that has gone into this and it is a credit to the book’s authors. This is a rich, comprehensive and beautifully produced book.
A pleasure to read.
