Not often a book keeps me awake at night, A good read well written and full of tensions. I loved Grannie – a bit ‘dippy’ She was the bright light in the book.

Fantastic, fast paced story with interesting characters and plenty of twists to keep you guessing. Looking forward to seeing what else is in store for Jake.

Could not give 5 as it was not brilliant, but had likable characters and a good story line. Worth a look at

No matter how close you get to some people life can often kick you in the teeth and it becomes tragic.

Enjoyed this book, got it as a cheap download and gave it a go. If you read the Leo Waterman series from GM Ford and liked them you’ll while away a few enjoyable hours with this.

I bought this book in its kindle addition as part of an unfortunate splurge on new books on first getting my kindle, the low price being a prime factor.
But I was pleasantly surprised when I got round to reading it. Well plotted, a good mix of thrills, humour and seriousness, some likeable characters, quirky oddballs and villains, lots of narrative momentum and very good courtroom scenes. And not badly written either. I am not sure about some of the comparisons that have been made eg to Rumpole, but I was reminded of Carl Hiassen without the environmental high horse, and to G M Ford who writes similar sorts of books.
In summary good stuff. I’ve bought a few more cheaply priced thrillers by Paul Levine and am now quite looking forward to reading them.
