I loved This sweet read, Lainey the shy bookworm, and Alex the hockey player. Love this dynamic. These Two are just everything. They have chemistry, interests, loyality, passion,a bit of drama and fun. This was set before the characters exploded into this new series. Giving us a glimpse of them coming together as a team.

Alex and Lainey… complete opposites, but completely cute together. Alex, a classic hockey athlete. Thinking of only hockey and not even considering a girlfriend, but being perfect as a boyfriend. Lainey, apart from having a twin, we could probably be the same person! I could totally relate to her!
They have the sweetest relationship development, I loved how it turned from fake into real… and then how they referenced the start of their relationship into their future.
I will be rereading Iced Out to catch more Alex and Lainey… they are the sweetest.

This is set before Eastons book – Iced out, and we do get more of him in this. I cant wait for more from the Heston U Hockey players.

A short and sweet prequel story to the Heston U Hotshot series. I love a good fake dating story, combined with brothers best friend and nerd x jock I ate this right up.
Veronica’s writing is so easy to fall into reading and I’m always unable to put the books down till I’m finished.
I’m so excited to read more of this world! Definitely recommend Iced Out next if you haven’t read it already.
