This was highly recommended by a young man, aged 10, so I bought it for my 9 year old grandson who has read all the books and watched the films. He loves it. The book gives detailed information and facts which add to the understanding of the magic in the Harry Potter stories.

I bought this book quite some time ago and it is still an absolute fave! My daughter gets it out quite often or when we are watching the films. Really easy book to use, pronunciations of all the spells underneath and lots of spells not in the films too.

The MuggleNet encyclopedia of spells is great fun to read through and full of information. Of course, most of it is available through google, but it’s really nice to have all this info in a nicely presented book to flick through. It’s exhaustive and includes spells from the entire universe, including all the books, games and extras from pottermore and well as a nice little section on wand woods and cores. Ideal for any potter fan, this is really handy when you find yourself in need of some extra info on pretty much any magic and is ideal to have beside you during a read-through of the Potter books, or for just flicking through to kill a bit of time. The other two MuggleNet books are pretty much awesome too and as a full set, they give you probably all the info you’ll ever need and then some.

The book itself is lovely, very nice heavy cover, well written inside.
Unfortunately the copy I received was covered in sticky fingerprints with lots of scratches to the cover. Hopefully this is a one off mistake and not the way the books are handled.
