This is a great book. It breaks down selling your products or services into bite-sized chunks with great explanations through real-life scenarios. I love the beginning – a story of a business is told and it’s peppered with thought-provoking questions you can relate to your own business. A refreshing look at sales – highly recommended and super-practical. For businesses large and small.

A well thought out book that covers many of the preconceptions we have around sales. Having been in sales and marketing for much of my career this is a refreshing change from the stuffy, overly smart and trendy reads that often populate Amazon’s vast library. If you want a no nonsense, easy to read reference, then look no further. I enjoyed this book cover to cover, learned a lot, laughed and realise that a fresh perspective on selling has finally been written. Buy this book and give yourself an edge.

Too much quality content to go into here, but the section on the Great Sales Myths is a highlight. It’s well observed, supported by relevant and interesting examples, and written with great humour.
A serious contribution to sales capability that is also laugh-out-loud funny. Quite a combination….

A highly readable treasure trove of information that invites business owners to confront the reality of sales in their organisation. The myth-busting approach illustrates how easy it can be to buy into stereotypes and adages when it comes to selling… and helps you unpick what’s really working for your business and what’s not. There is something for everyone amongst the wealth of practical tips and strategies shared.
Highly recommended.

An informative must read for all sales professionals.

This is a book that will actually help you untangle your sales. Interwoven anecdotal stories and independent research makes it relatable and easy to get how the approaches can be applied to any business that involves sales – or as I prefer to say helping clients make a confident choice as to whether what you’re offering is the right fit for them now. A far cry from the mythological reputation of unscrupulous sales, this book talks to sales with positive purpose. It joins the dots between sales and organisational health and overall strategy in a simple and easy to apply way. I’m glad I got my hands on this book when I did – to be fair, it’d never have been too soon!

I love this book! It’s easy to read and in a story-telling style. It feels like Lynne and Martin are in the room with you. This is not a technical sales and marketing book, it’s a ‘must have’ for any newcomer to sales or indeed established salesperson or teams. It has lots of examples and practical advice, it’s funny and full of myth busters. I could not put it down.
Whether selling products or services this book will simplify the process and make a conversion achievable. It’s motivating, inspiring, and makes you get excited about sales. Reading it generates an enthusiastic ‘can do’ vibe.
I wish I had read it years ago. I will be using this as a reference guide, reflective tool and encouraging my team to do the same.

I received an advanced copy of #UntangleYourSales this week, written by Martin Knowles and Lynne Kennedy.
What a brilliant read…it condenses many years of sales and commercial experience into a well structured, easy to read, and funny book.
The quirky introductory story draws you in, as I could relate to all of the questions that it poses, and several ‘laugh out loud’ points
The structure of ‘the myths’ is brilliant and enables you to dip in and out by topic or ‘myth’. The explanations as to why they are myths is excellent. The book could also be used as an ongoing reference guide as well as a training guide for any sales team be that an SME or large organisation.
Lynne and Martin’s deep knowledge, insight and mastery of the business world is strongly evident, as they explain ‘how to’ from an holistic position, incorporating many business functions, including finance, supply chain, innovation as well customers and suppliers.
The ‘untangling’ of often complex sales and commercial issues should give confidence to anyone ‘selling’ within their business – ‘all of the business selling all of the time’, and also align thinking within an organisation.
I would definitely recommend that you read this great book #untangleyoursales #salesdirector #salesmanager #sustainableselling
