Excellent book which does allow you to not only produce clear diagrams for your students but also a step by step guide to develop their thinking and understanding. Having taught for over 20 years this has allowed me to re-examine my own practice.

The book is amazing! It clearly explains how to use diagrams to improve explanations of geographical processes, how to guide the students step-by-step in drawing the diagrams. The diagrams are also provided so they can be used as a guide to refer to when explaining different concepts and processes.
For a while I noticed that when I explained processes guiding students through drawing the diagrams with them, it was very successful so I’m looking forward to using this book more often.
This book will be on my desk!

This book is what all Geography teachers, both experienced and new-to-teaching have been waiting for. The diagrams of all the physical processes of our planet are brilliantly clear and easy to draw, even if your not an artist, making using it in the classroom so versatile and invaluable. I especially like the explanations to guide you through the narration of the drawing of the diagrams and the located Case Studies are an added bonus. I’ve found myself thinking ‘why didn’t I think of that?’ as a way of explaining some very tricky difficult physical Geography. A must-have for all Geography classrooms.

This is a fantastic resource for any Geography Teacher and one I wish had been available years ago. The diagrams are easy to replicate for both myself and the students. I particularly like the ‘what the students should already know’ boxes which aid the layering of knowledge and understanding. In addition, the checking for understanding bullet points work perfectly as plenary activities and questioning throughout the lesson. I would thoroughly recommend this resource.
