Generally nice light reading but the story seemed to cut off short at the end but I look forward to reading the next book.

‘Next in Line’ is Book 5 in Jeffrey Archer’s Detective William Warwick series. It is set in 1988, not long after the events of ‘Over My Dead Body’.
In it the focus of Detective William Warwick and his team moves on to the elite Royalty Protection Command. There are concerns with how its commanding officer is running the unit and an investigation is launched. Meanwhile ex-undercover operative Ross Hogan is charged with a very sensitive responsibility as he becomes the close protection officer of one of the royal family.
Meanwhile, there are more shenanigans from Miles Faulkner as well as a serious security threat to the Crown from a renegade organisation.
I am now caught up with the series, having read Book 6 recently. So I just have the wait for the next in the series.
