I woke up in Vegas with hazy memories of the night before and the hottest hockey player alive wrapped around me.

Some people come to the city of sin for gambling and partying—I did one better and left as Mrs. Travis Bennett.
My annoyingly handsome and charming neighbor has been asking me out for weeks. After nearly costing me my gymnastics career, I’ve tried to stay far away from the hot, cocky hockey player.
And now I’m legally bound to him.

When the media gets wind of our whirlwind romance, we agree to stay married until my season starts to avoid a PR nightmare.
I think it’s a mistake. He thinks it’s fate. And he’s doing everything he can to prove me wrong.

In public, I’m wearing his ring and his jersey. At home, he’s walking around shirtless, packing my lunches, and trying his best to make my heart race.
Unfortunately, he’s succeeding.
This game of pretend is starting to feel a lot more real.

My new husband is keeping score, and he won’t stop until he wins my heart.

After reading Lucky Shot (book 1), I was already in love with Travis, the goofy, sweet Golden Retriever hockey player. I have been so excited to read his story! The moment he lays eyes on his new neighbor, Hannah, the spunky, gorgeous, Olympic hopeful gymnast, he is smitten!
He’s Down BAD and ready to do anything to get her to give him the time of day! Unfortunately, they start off on the wrong foot and she despises him, so he’s got a lot of convincing to do!

From neighbors and one-sided love at first sight, to an accidental Vegas marriage, to roomies and a marriage of convenience, Travis now has the opportunity of a lifetime to prove his worth and get Hannah to give him a real chance!
Between his sweetness, hotness, and all-around good guy-ness, Hannah may find it hard to resist her Husband for long!

I am such a sucker for a marriage of convenience story, but make it an accidental Vegas marriage, and I’m a complete goner! (For all you fellow Windy City lovers– Trav gives me total Isaiah Rhodes vibes!) There’s more to both Travis and Hannah than meets the eye, both having (very different) complicated family situations, but they may just find a family of their own in this unexpected arrangement!

I am feral for these Moonshot Hockey boys, and I cannot wait to see what’s next!!

Overall I enjoyed this book and it was a great read, it took me a little while to get into it – I just wasn’t immediately connecting with the characters. Once the Vegas trip happened and the characters were forced together more it definitely picked up

I love an accidental marriage in Vegas storyline and I didn’t know it was in this book so it was the best surprise (I fully went into this blind but knowing that I love Rebecca’s books)

I love that it was pretty much love at first sight for Travis and how he put the effort in to show Hannah that he cared about her and wanted to get to know her

I loved the weekend that Wren (Hannah’s sister) came to stay it was such a good dynamic between the 3 of them and a real turning point for Hannah and Travis’ relationship which I just ate up after that point

    – forced proximity
    – sports romance (pro ice hockey player x pro gymnast)
    – accidental marriage turned marriage of convenience
    – he falls first

Thank you to the author and her team for the eARC – all opinions are my own

Keeping Score is the second book in the Moonshot Hockey series, and it delivers on swoony moments, emotional growth, and a heartfelt love story wrapped in humour and heat.

The story follows Hannah, a fiercely independent gymnast chasing her dreams while caring for her younger sister, and Travis Bennett, the golden-retriever-energy NHL star next door who falls hard and fast from the moment they meet. After one crazy night in Vegas, they wake up married, and what starts as a marriage of convenience soon turns into something far deeper.

It blends classic romance tropes, forced proximity, fake marriage, neighbours-to-lovers, and he falls first into a story that’s both fun and emotionally grounded. Travis’s unwavering devotion and small, thoughtful gestures make him impossible not to root for, while Hannah’s vulnerability and growth give the story real heart

The pacing is brisk and engaging, with plenty of banter, warm found family interactions, and intimate moments that build the connection naturally without feeling..

    Title: Keeping Score
    Author: Rebecca Jenshak
    Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Oh my darling baby Travis 🥹 I love him so much. He is so sweet I could eat him up – in fact I did. I read this in one sitting.
The relationship he has with Hannah (THE Hannah) is so endearing, he literally just wants to love and care for her.
After spending her life being the caregiver, Hannah isn’t sure how to take someone’s help but that doesn’t stop Travis in his quest.

Packing her lunches to take to training, doing the food shopping for her, watching her past performances 🥹 he can do no wrong in my eyes.

“I’m going to prove to you how good I can be for you. And someday, you’re going to believe it enough to let yourself have it.”

“I’m so gone for this girl. If what I felt for her on day one was love at first sight, then whatever I’m feeling now hasn’t ever been documented by humanity. It’s love and obsession and respect and admiration.”

    What I Liked
    • likeable characters
    • easy to read and follow

    Overall Vibe
    Cozy and warms your heart.

    Final Verdict
If you’re looking for a nice easy cute story this is for you.
    Would recommend.

Travis is the golden retriever superstar hockey player who after seeing his teammate settle down and loved up, wants that for himself. When hottie gymnast Hannah moves in next door, he sets his sights on her. Hannah is new to town and is determined to train with the coach that can get her to the Olympics. She doesn’t have time for men. But when a trip to Vegas ends up with a ring on her finger, Hannah and Travis have to make the most of their unexpected marriage of convenience.

Rebecca’s writing is like a comfort blanket and I adore books where both characters are athletes so it’s making it even more special. Travis is such a golden retriever, determined to win Hannah over but adhering to her boundaries. He was so down bad for Hannah from the start. All the little things he did to show her he cared, he was written for the acts of services girlies 🤭Hannah is the epitome of eldest daughter and is trying to keep her head above water, but she is realising that maybe Travis is exactly the type of guy she needs in her life! He knew exactly what she needed to make her feel safe and loved 🥰

I absolutely adored this story. Hannah is an up-and-coming gymnast. She’s working hard to raise her sister and get her career on track. Travis is a hockey player who has established himself in his career and is at the top of his game. One night Travis’s Camera at his house, picks up what he thought was somebody breaking into his neighbors house. What he doesn’t realize is Hannah has rented the house next door and the real estate agent had not left her the key. Fast forward to an uncomfortable meeting that because Travis had called the police about the break in, Hannah had lost her sponsorship. When Hannah finally gets a chance to train under a very good coach so she can go to the finals, She celebrates with her friends in Vegas. Unbeknownst to her, Travis was there with his hockey friends celebrating his birthday. A few too many drinks and a Vegas chapel is all they need to find themselves married. At first Hannah thinks it’s a mistake that needs fixing. But the longer she’s with him the more she falls in love with him and he with her. This is a very sweet story that unfolds well. The characters are well developed, and the stories of their friends add a lot to us getting to know Travis and Hannah. I cannot wait for the next story. I love anything by this author.

I already knew after Lucky Shot that this was going to be one of my new favourite series & friend groups and this book solidified that even more. My gosh, I LOVED this book!! Both books in the series are definitely my new favourite books by Rebecca. Even of all time. I’m completely obsessed with each guy we’ve met so far and I cannot wait for the rest of their books.

Travis is pure sunshine and happiness, I love him so much. The love at first sight?! That whole meet cute was hilarious. He is the most golden retriever mmc ever!!

I adored Hannah’s character, she’s so used to caring for herself and her sister, she struggled to accept help, especially Travis’. But she needed him and he was so so sweet with her, their relationship is one of my favourites

Travis’ relationship with Hannah’s sister Wren was just the cutest thing ever, him being so happy that he finally got a sister 😭

Everyone needs to go read this series!! 🩷

Ever since Travis was introduced in Nick & Ruby’s story, I wanted his story. And it was worth the wait! I was beyond captivated by Travis & Hannah and I loved going on their journey.

Travis & Hannah had great chemistry and terrific banter. I loved watching them find their way to happily ever after.

I am loving this series. I can’t wait to revisit these characters and their world.

    I voluntarily reviewed this book.

Travis and Hannah are truly amazing I love their story so much! Travis is hands down one of the best book boyfriends out there. The way he loves not only Hannah but his teammates and is always there for them is nothing short of amazing. He’s a big goofball that’s loves hard and likes taking care of the people he loves. Hannah on the other hand is a hard working gymnast who grew up having to take care of everyone else and has troubling accepting help from others. Insert Travis and his love of taking care of her no matter how hard she fights him on it. You can’t help but love them and their story no matter how it started out they are truly meant for each other!

I love this series and friend group so much I cannot wait for book 3! Thank you Rebecca Jenshak for writing once again a truly amazing sports romance book and series. Keep the book boyfriends coming!
