Cozy up with a cup of tea and treat yourself to an utterly irresistible mystery, set amid England’s breathtakingly beautiful Chiltern Hills.
Meet Rona Parish, a feisty biographer with a talent for digging up murder and mystery wherever she goes — and Gus, the golden retriever, nipping loyally at her heels!
The little town of Buckford may be brimful of charm, with its quaint cobbles and bustling market. But it’s not without its dark side . . .
Rona’s in town, researching local tales and forgotten histories for a brand-new book. The townsfolk are happy to reminisce with her.
Except for frail old Edna Rosebury. There’s a secret weighing on her conscience. Something she saw one night and can’t forget.
A midnight tryst between a cheating couple. Edna kept it to herself, for the sake of a child she can’t — or won’t — name.
Is it a real memory — or just a figment of Edna’s wild imagination?
The deeper Rona digs, the more she fears it all links back to not one, but two mysterious local deaths.
A young girl, killed in a tragic accident, and a man stabbed in cold blood outside the King’s Head pub.
As Rona races to piece together the puzzle, a third victim drops dead on the streets of Buckford.
Someone out there is trying to erase every trace of their guilty secret. Including Rona herself?
Fans of Faith Martin, M.C. Beaton, Richard Osman, the Reverend Richard Coles and Betty Rowlands are sure to be enchanted by these charming mysteries, set in the picture-perfect Chiltern Hills.
Please note, this book was previously published as Jigsaw.

MEET THE SLEUTH
Spirited Rona Parish may be happily married — to handsome but noisy illustrator Max — but she won’t give up her independence. To her parents’ dismay, Rona still goes by her maiden name and insists on her own unconventional way of living. Max vacates the couple’s townhouse on weekdays, allowing Rona to write, and sleuth, in peace — without any distractions. Unless you count Gus, her bouncy and devoted golden retriever — and the occasional visit from Rona’s chaotic twin sister, Lindsey.
THE SETTING
Sophisticated Rona loves travel and the occasional jaunt to London. But Marsborough, the town where she was born, is the home she’ll always return to. Somewhere betwixt London and Oxford, nestled in the rolling green Chiltern Hills, Rona knows every street in this market town off by heart. Or so she thinks . . . because there’s far more to sleepy little Marsborough than meets the eye.

A great story that is not always easy to balance the characters, However the chase worth it, the characters well formed and the detective/author dogged enough, to draw everything into a fine conclusion. I thoroughly enjoyed it?

Enjoyable, until the last part it was very chill, didn’t guess the culprit until very near the end, yes, defiantly a relaxed read, might look at some more by this author. Enjoy.

A very enjoyable read. The story draws you in with the twists and turns it takes. I love how she gives you all the clues as to who done it.
