I brought my friend’s housewarming present to the wrong place. A grumpy werewolf answered the door, and shifted into a massive wolf.
Apparently, we’re mates.
And apparently, my mate doesn’t like cake.
Who doesn’t like cake?
Sugary goodness aside, he’s bitter and jaded.
I’m… well, the opposite.
So when he says he doesn’t want to be with me, I give him space.
But for some reason, he can’t stay away.
He wants me more than he wants to, and as long as he’s treating me right, I’m not going to turn him away.
Because he says he doesn’t want a partner, but honestly?
I think he’s lying to both of us.
*This is a short, spicy romantic novella with a happily ever after

Once again, Lola Glass has released a certified banger! Finn & Emmy were such a joy to watch grow into their relationship. Emmy and Finn both worked to overcome their fear of commitment, each in their own way. I loved the new take on the mating process! It was fun to see the wolves instantly being certain about each other, even when the humans weren’t. Can’t wait for Zoe and Connor next!.

If theres anything negative to say it’s that there will only be two more books after these in the series. They have been so much fun and I love everything about them, even the length which I didn’t think I would but it boils the story into the vital parts, and I love how they are low angst, because life in the current world isn’t.

A lovely short but fantastically fun romantasy by Lola Glass with another male from the “Feral Pack”. Lola’s stories are always so well written with humour, romance and human nature (worries, insecurities, etc causing problems) and this one is no different. It’s full of drama, wonderful characters with brilliant chemistry, second chance at love, friendships, sexy wolf shifters with trauma in their pasts, heaps of humor, plenty of pink, cake, cheeky banter and spice💖. Again, I couldn’t put down and would strongly recommend.
When Emmy goes to take cake to Jade after she’s mated with Wyatt (“The Independent Girl’s Guide to Mating with a Werewolf”) she takes the wrong side of the fork and is met with a very grumpy Finn when he opens the door. She might have been hoping to meet her own werewolf but Finn makes it clear that he’s not interested in a relationship. Emmy realises he’s had a bad rejection from his first mate and is willing to let him make the decisions, after what might have been the fastest hunt and chase.
They agree on a platonic “friends with benefits” but she’s not prepared for how upset his reaction might make her; and he’s not ready for how not having her round will make him feel. Can he find a way to get over the trauma of his first rejection and accept the second chance fate is giving him; even if she does have a thing for pink?
I love the banter between all the wolves and their mates in this series and can’t wait for Zoe and Conner’s story in the next book, I also look forward to Ethan finding his own ‘cupcake’.

Another great quick read novella by Lola Glass. She manages to create characters and stories that are compelling and enjoyable even in such short stories. Well worth it for a cozy evening of watching Finn and Emmy build their grumpy sunshine relationship carefully. Emmy’s empathy is huge but her patience pays off. Not insta-love which makes it so much more compelling.

Quick read and part of the series which does need to be read in order.
Relatively low to no spice.
Mainly angsty type relation ship get together.
Like the characters.

Just phoning it in now. It’s like a copy and paste job. I enjoyed the longer stories but these shorter ones are no where near as good

Ahh Finn and Emmy’s story, I loved it! Finn was a brooding, grumpy werewolf who after being rejected by his abusive ex mate was dead set against having another mate, content to live out his life alone in his cabin surrounded by his pack mates (who had also been rejected by ex mates). Fate seems to be conspiring against his pack when 3 other members all find their second chance mates (previous 3 books in this series – all as awesome as this book go and read them too!) and all their mates are from the same female friendship group. When Emmy goes looking for her friend jade, she knocks on the wrong cabin and finds an insanely attractive man who answers, then his eyes turn red, utters the word mate then turns into a werewolf! After he bites her and she bites him back, they try to work out what their relationship should be – platonic friends or something more. Can Finn get over his past trauma and move on and embrace the second chance he has at having a mate, can Emmy show him that not all mates are abusive.
I was hooked from start to finish, I read it in one sitting! I loved reading Finns story and it filled me with all the feels, from laughter, tears (sad and happy ones) and everything in between. I want to find me a werewolf mate in the woods who paints his cabin pink for me! Ahh dream 🥰 another fabulous addition to this series! I can’t wait for Zoe and Connor’s story next!.

Lola did it again! This was a great read, the 4th in the Mate Hunted Series. I loved Em, she was so bubbly and happy. Finn was a very jaded werewolf who was previously rejected and being mated with Em was something he needed to work on – it was a different twist on the others as their mating was a bit delayed as they got to know each other and pushed past the previous rejection. I inhaled this story in a single day, it was that good! I can’t wait to hear Ethan’s story in the next installment.

Fabulous quick read. Emmy and Finns story was just such a sweet, friends to lovers vibe. I could have read more.
