I’ve been following Sunna van Kampen on social media for some time, so I was keen to read The Good, the Bad and the Healthy — and it did not disappoint.
The book is brilliant: clear, straight to the point, and refreshingly honest. It covers exactly what you need to know without overcomplicating things or drowning you in jargon. Everything is explained in a way that actually makes sense, which isn’t always easy in the world of nutrition.
What I really appreciated is how practical it is. I’ve already made many positive changes to my diet based on Sunna’s information, both from his online content and now from this book. It feels grounded, realistic, and achievable — not extreme or preachy.
Well written, clear, and precise. A genuinely useful book that I’ll be referring back to.

Great read.
I have followed Sunna on Instagram for a while, ever since I started reducing the UPFs in my diet.
How refreshing this book was to read. I actually read it in one day and I’ve given it to my mother in law to borrow.
Pretty much everything is covered in this book and even if you’re just starting to look into UPFs in your shopping, it’s easy to read not full of language hard to understand. I really enjoyed it and hope one day he may do a cookbook!
