    01

Being shy sucks. Being shy and having a crush sucks even more. But I can’t get the grouchy werewolf out of my head, so I need to do something… as long as it doesn’t include talking…

Step One: Leave my crush a gift. Check.

Step Two: Wait for him to open it. Check.

Step Three: Try to convince him we’re meant to be. Ugh, I definitely have my work cut out for me.

Dain caught my attention the moment I walked into the bookstore. Tall. Broody. Growly in that definitely-a-werewolf way. The more time I spend near him, the more certain I become of one impossible truth:

    He’s my viramore. My soulmate.

Too bad I can barely string two words together in his presence.

When I finally tell him about our connection, he doesn’t believe me. But he does agree to a date. Hopefully I can turn one date into two, then three, and then maybe, just maybe, he’ll see that I’m right. We’re viramores, and no matter what trouble comes our way, nothing will change that.

  • Top Shelf: A MM Hockey Romance (Storm Warning Book 3)

    01

Anyone can fall in love. Pickle makes it unforgettable.

Thunder Bay’s favorite chaos gremlin, Noah “Pickle” Piatkowski, is no longer the rookie, but he hasn’t lost an ounce of his wild energy. He’s fast, he’s fearless, and he’s still the guy who shows up late to practice because he got his hand stuck in a Pringles can again. Fans adore him. His teammates have stopped asking questions.

When the Storm gathers at The Drop to watch Hog’s partner, Rhett, land a deal on Shark Tank, Pickle’s world begins to tilt.

Enter Adrian Richter, thirty-four, a polished, quietly intense documentary filmmaker sent the day after the show by a streaming network sensing a story —sharp-eyed and no-nonsense. He’s come looking for an authentic slice of small-town hockey life…and instead he finds Pickle, standing in the parking lot of The Drop in Crocs, holding a broken karaoke microphone, and trying to teach Hog’s dog how to howl along to “Total Eclipse of the Heart.”

Adrian is thunderstruck. Not just by Pickle’s ridiculousness—but by the heat beneath the chaos. The tenderness tucked behind the jokes. The way Pickle lights up a room without even meaning to.

Pickle, for his part, has no idea what to do when someone hot, grown, and deeply competent looks at him like he’s more than the team’s comic relief. Every instinct tells him to deflect with humor, to hide behind being “the funny one,” to pretend he doesn’t care about the idea that someone might—finally—take him seriously. Letting Adrian see the version of himself he’s been protecting? That’s terrifying. That’s impossible. That’s starting to feel inevitable.

When the production company decides Pickle makes better footage as a joke than a person, Adrian faces his own choice: protect the project that was supposed to rebuild his stalled career, or protect the man who’s stolen his heart.

An opposites attract small-town hockey romance, with a guaranteed happily ever after.

A storm is coming to Thunder Bay.
    Turns out, it’s love.

Meg, or Megaera, is one of the Furies you probably read about in Greek Mythology. She’s also been sitting on one of Sam Quinn’s stools in The Slaughtered Lamb Bookstore & Bar since it opened, glaring into silence anyone who tries to strike up a conversation with her.

Sam, being Sam, eventually broke through Meg’s walls and a tentative friendship grew—not a warm one, certainly. Meg doesn’t do warm. She has, though, in a crisis situation, shown up to fight alongside Sam.

    Until recently, that is.

Sam’s getting more and more concerned about Meg’s strange absences and then she and Clive receive a text that turns their lives upside down. Meg tells Sam and Clive it’s their turn to help her…in Greece…in the Underworld.

  • Eugene Esmonde, V.C., D.S.O.: The Courageous Life of a Naval Aviator in World War Two (Heroes of the Skies Book 6)

The moving biography of a remarkable pilot who received a posthumous Victoria Cross for courageous but fatal actions during World War Two.

This work should be essential reading for fans of naval aviation history and the unsung heroes of World War Two.

Although the Fleet Air Arm may not have been as glamorous as Fighter Command, the actions of men such as Eugene Esmonde demonstrate that its personnel were just as daring, facing similarly insurmountable odds in fighting for the Allied cause.

Chaz Bowyer, the renowned aviation historian, charts the course of Esmonde’s life — from his Catholic upbringing in Ireland, which shaped his worldview, to his training as a pilot in the Royal Air Force in the interwar years. Asked to join the newly formed Royal Naval Air Branch in January 1939, he entered the heat of the action shortly after war broke out.

Bowyer draws upon a wealth of research and interviews with Esmonde’s family and fellow air service men and women to provide a vivid account of his life through the war. He describes in detail Esmonde’s actions in the Narvik campaign, his leadership in an attack against the battleship Bismarck, and his service aboard HMS Ark Royal when it was struck by a torpedo — remaining aboard as the last to leave the ship before it sank. Yet it was during Operation Fuller that Esmonde’s full courage was displayed, earning a posthumous Victoria Cross during his desperate attempt to contain Scharnhorst, Gneisenau, and Prinz Eugen during their famous Channel Dash.

‘This biography makes compulsive reading and the final chapters are most moving.’ Air Pictorial

‘This saga of unmatched courage and devotion to duty is movingly told.’ Guild of Air Pilots Journal

    ‘Compelling reading.’ Irish Independent

‘His high courage and splendid resolution will live in the traditions of the Royal Navy, and remain for many generations a fine and stirring memory.’ Victoria Cross Citation

Although Esmonde was ultimately unsuccessful in halting the battlecruisers and their escort — and was struck down in the attempt — his story remains an epic tale of the bravery men can summon even when all hope seems lost. This work will undoubtedly appeal to all interested in the war for the skies and seas during World War Two.

  • The Next World War: The new age of global conflict and the fight to stop it

“Incredibly well sourced… One of the most plugged-in voices in modern warfare” – THE TELEGRAPH

“Reads like a real-life geopolitical thriller … The fact it doesn’t feel like scaremongering says a lot about the state of the world” – Jonn Elledge, author of A History of the World in 47 Borders

The Next World War takes readers behind the scenes of the most dangerous era of international tensions since the end of the Cold War, as countries and military forces prepare for potential large-scale combat on a scale unseen since 1945.

From the corridors of power in Washington, Whitehall, Moscow and Beijing to the new frontlines of conflict in Ukraine, Taiwan, cyberspace and even the far side of the moon, Peter Apps unflinchingly explores the fault lines where global peace is already starting to unravel.

Featuring the voices of the commanders, diplomats and technologists already shaping history, as well as the nervous conscripts and ordinary people directly caught up in events, The Next World War examines the real-world effects of this new era of global confrontation. For some – including millions of citizens told to stockpile food and water and prepare for potential mass disruption – it still may not feel entirely real. But for Russia, China and their growing ‘axis of upheaval’, today’s conflicts represent a growing opportunity to reshape the world as they would like it – leading to potential disaster for the West if it cannot heed the warnings in time.

From the return of Cold War-style atomic threats to new forms of sabotage and ‘hybrid warfare’, the battle for global dominance is already firmly underway. The Next World War is the book you need to understand the growing precariousness of our current situation – and the unending battle to stop it escalating past the point of no return.

“Gripping and important … A warning order for the future” – General Sir Tim Radford KCB DSO OBE

“Sweeping and compelling, with plenty of human stories that really pull you in. A must-read book from the expert I go to when I really want to get a sense of where things might be going” – Anna-Joy Rickard, Great British Foreign Affairs podcast

  • THE BLACK WEREWOLF OF DETROIT: An Urban Horror Novel

    THE BLACK WEREWOLF OF DETROIT
    An Urban Horror Novel
    by Allison Woods

By day, it walks like a man.
By night, it hunts the city.

In the alleys behind abandoned buildings, beneath flickering streetlights and the hum of the city, something has been hunting—quietly, patiently, without mercy. People go missing. Sirens come too late. And the city keeps breathing.

Michael comes to Detroit with simple plans: to see his sister, to find work, to start over. He expects a hard city, not a hostile one. He doesn’t expect the fear that seems to cling to certain streets—or the stories no one tells out loud.

    Michael never believed in monsters.
Not until one of them looked back at him.

As brutal killings begin to surface and Detroit’s streets close in, the line between man and predator starts to blur. The city feels alive, watching, waiting—and the moon is watching him now.

Some horrors aren’t born in the dark.
    They’re made there.
    And survival demands a price.

Gritty, brutal, and unflinchingly atmospheric, THE BLACK WEREWOLF OF DETROIT reimagines werewolf horror for the modern city—where monsters don’t lurk in forests, but in forgotten corners of concrete and steel.

This is not a story about heroes.
This is a story about what the city turns you into.

    Perfect for fans of:

    • Urban horror with a dark psychological edge
    • Werewolf stories grounded in realism
    • Gritty, atmospheric novels where the city is a character
    • Readers who enjoy horror that lingers long after the final page

When darkness falls, Detroit doesn’t sleep.
    The hunt begins.

  • Since You Arrived: a single dad, small town romantic comedy (The Raider Brothers Book 4)

    01
A baby on his doorstep. A couch-surfing woman in need of a place to stay. And one very bad idea…

Zane Raider is the last man in Smuggler’s Hideaway anyone would trust with a baby. So, of course, one shows up on his doorstep.

Which is how I end up in his kitchen, holding a bottle while trying not to stare at the way his T-shirt clings to all those muscles. I’m supposed to be the temporary nanny – just until he figures things out. He gets childcare. I get a roof over my head (and my dog gets a yard).

    Easy.

Except Zane is a hot single dad with a bad boy past, a wicked smile, and a knack for making my heart race faster than his motorcycle. He smells like leather and trouble, grins like he knows exactly what I’m thinking, and somehow manages to look even better while rocking a baby at three a.m.

I keep telling myself I’m not falling for the guy who once made “commitment” sound like a prison sentence. But between the midnight feedings, his ridiculous brothers’ pranks, and the way he says our when he talks about the baby… I might be in serious trouble.

This single dad small-town romantic comedy features a man who has no intention of ever marrying – let alone having children – a woman who doesn’t understand the meaning of ‘on time’, a baby who throws chaos into the mix, and a band of prank-happy brothers who treat emotional growth like it’s a full-contact sport.

Since You Arrived is a standalone novel in The Raider Brothers series.

Until it was Real – Rhett and Dakota’s story
For the Promise – Jaxon and Blossom’s story
From the Start – Kai and Harper’s story
Since you Arrived – Zane and Sloane’s story
After you Returned – Miles and Hazel’s story

  • The Affinity Collector: A Fantasy Isekai LitRPG Series (Octaeteris Cycle Book 1)

Two deaths, and one life that has an incredible advantage.

At only 8 years old, Weldin had just had his dual Affinities bestowed upon him by the Goddess Athera when he ended up in a Nexus Rift far exceeding his Level. To make it worse, the Affinities he ended up with, Light and Energy, weren’t exactly the best when it came to offensive capability, and he struggled to kill any of the higher-Level monsters that stood in between him and his freedom. The lack of a powerful Ability to defend himself, as well as a lack of worldly knowledge, eventually led to his downfall.

But that wasn’t technically the end of Weldin’s existence, as just as his mortal form succumbed to its fatal wounds and his soul slipped away, a soul from another world was slotted into the empty shell to take over his abandoned body. This new soul was from Earth, and with it came a plethora of knowledge that could take advantage of his Affinities, in ways that his current world had never seen before. Even more than possessing otherworldly knowledge, the introduction of a new soul into Weldin’s body had seemed to initiate some other capabilities, such as the unique ability to unlock additional Affinities.

Now, all he has to do is clear a Nexus Rift where everything can easily kill him if he makes a mistake, navigate a world where those in power want to possess him because of his unique Affinities, and somehow survive an Academy full of 8-year-olds who have just learned that they have incredible magical powers – all so he can progress his personal quest to collect all of the Affinities he can.

This story contains LitRPG progression mechanics and stats, as well as isekai/portal fantasy elements. Contains no sexual content or harems.
