Designed to support those living and working with children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

The signs cover the topics of Growing Up – Feelings – Public and Private – Personal Hygiene – Greetings – Friendships and Relationships – Sexual Orientation – Help, Assertiveness and Safe-guarding.

The signs are British Sign Language (BSL) based and include regional BSL alternatives appropriate for a wide range of deaf and hearing sign language users.
Some signs have many variations and only the most commonly used ones are included.

Signs are arranged in topics followed by a separate alphabetical glossary with written descriptions alongside each sign. Also included are the Basic Handshape Key and Fingerspelling Alphabets.
